Brian is a registered Osteopath having qualified with a Masters degree from the prestigious British School of Osteopathy in 2014. Brian had a previous career as a dancer and held British and Irish national titles in Irish dance and was world ranked No.3 for consecutive years. He turned professional in 1996 after graduating from the University of Liverpool with a degree in English and Philosophy to perform in Riverdance - The Show in the USA.
After his dance career Brian trained as a sports therapist in 2007 at St. Mary’s University and worked in London physiotherapy clinics focusing on treating elite and endurance athletes of many different disciplines, predominantly triathlon, marathon runners and physical performers. It was during this time Brian’s interest broadened from sports injury management to exploring treatment approaches used for common postural conditions that can cause pain.
Brian has postgraduate
osteopathic training in the following areas: treatment of chronic pain, visceral and systemic conditions, mens health, womens health and the use of mindfulness (acceptance and commitment therapy) within bodywork. He has studied with experts in these fields over the last 10 years and he continues to develop his skills in medical acupuncture, cranial osteopathy, Pilates and rehabilitative exercise. Brian welcomes patients of all ages to clinic to experience the benefits of osteopathic treatment.
